Born and raised in Winnipeg, Sheri and Clifton met and fell in love in high school, and have been inseparable ever since.
After traveling abroad, and attending school in Toronto, they came back to the Peg, and finally set down roots to raise their family.
Clifton and Sheri have always enjoyed arts and crafts leisure time and for that reason, DIY Craft Bar was created.
DIY Craft Bar grew from their passion and the want to bring that enjoyment to others, more specifically others that might not have the opportunity or the skills to create something on their own.
Together with their daughter and twin boys by their side, there is nothing that this family can’t achieve.
Clifton Doyle – The Numbers Guy
Clifton was artistic at a young age, creating his own comic book characters and creating various pieces of art using different media platforms. Following this passion, Clifton studied computer animation in Toronto. Returning to Winnipeg, although his primary career was in the financial sector, weekends were spent expressing his love of music playing in a rock n roll cover band, while continuing to work on art projects on the side, even having his artwork published in a novel.
Sheri Doyle – The Master Crafter
Sheri caught the craft bug at an early age. Having grandmother that sewed avidly and made crafts, she was inspired to make her own barbie clothes at the age of 8. Sheri perfected her skills on her own, and through university and technical school. Receiving a degree in fashion design, she started her Career in Winnipeg, which spanned over 15 years. Along with Fashion, crafting has always been a favorite past time for Sheri. From making custom jewelry to fabricating Halloween costumes for friends and family, she has always had a passion for creating. She truly is DIY Craft Bars resident craft master
